How likely am I to catch a fish?

+

Captain Chris has been fishing for 30+ years, so he knows his way around the water. That being said, there’s a reason they call it “fishing” and not “catching”. However, you’ve got a pretty high likelihood with us!

Do I have to know how to fish?

+

Nope! Captain Chris has been fishing since he was a kid, so he knows how to show you the ropes.

What kind of skill level do I need for a charter trip?

+

None. Whether you’re new to fishing or have been fishing your whole life, we have a charter for you. We can cater the trip to your wishes — and it can be as hardcore or family friendly as you’d like!

Is there a bathroom on the boat?

+

Yes (although we fondly refer to it as the “head”).

Do I need a fishing license?

+

Nope! You’re covered under our charter boat license. Just show up, and start fishing!

Is all of the necessary fishing equipment provided?

+

Absolutely. We provide the rods, bait, and tackle — all you have to do is reel in the fish!

Can I bring my own equipment?

+

Yes. While we provide all the necessary fishing equipment, we understand that some anglers prefer to use their own. Feel free to bring your trusted rod along!

What happens to the fish after I catch it?

+

This varies by species. If the fish is too small (or even too big) to keep, we will release it after taking a few photos. You’re welcome to keep any fish that is at regulation size! We’ll clean it for you, and you can enjoy it for your next meal.

Is there cell phone coverage out on the water?

+

Near the coast, yes. However, there is very little cell phone coverage on the offshore tours, but fear not — we have a VHF radio on board in case of emergency.

Do you allow alcohol on board?

+

Yes. You are welcome to bring your alcohol on board, but please note that we do not serve any of our own.

Do you have life jackets? Do I need to wear a life jacket?

+

We have life jackets on board, as well as all other U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment, but you are not required to wear one. However, if you wish to wear one while we sail, you are more than welcome to do so.

Is breakfast/lunch/dinner included?

+

No, but we have a dinette on board, should you wish to bring your own food.

What should I bring?

+

We supply top-of-the-line fishing equipment, including rods, bait, and tackle. However, if you want to bring along your trusted rod, feel free to do so! Otherwise, we recommend you bring along any meals you wish to have, sunscreen, sunglasses, a towel, and seasickness medicine (if you are prone to it). Please dress comfortably as well! It is warm in the summertime, but early in the fishing season and in the fall, you may wish to bring a jacket or sweatshirt.
